billo 0 #9 November 15, 2002 Quote I love to cook, but hate cooking for just myself. LOL i feel your pain! When i cook for myself i make waaaay too much, and since it usually tastes better fresh then reheated, i eat like 5 servings. What can i say, i'm weak! Self control is the worst on friday afternoons at the chinese buffett. I can put on a 10 pound weight belt for the weekend just from gouging myself on crab rangoons! Nothin like rangoon weights to make that swoop just a little bit longer...b

Lizard 0 #11 November 15, 2002 The girls at the airport all bring a dish in on sundays for lunch and one of them got me involved with it. (hey, if I kiss ass it at least looks good in a tight skirt). Now they take up money for ingredients and tell me what they want and I make it the best I can. Im slowly learning how to cook and noone has gotten sick yet. quatorze 1 #12 November 15, 2002 I love it. There are so many guys who like to cook out there and so few women who know how. I am not saying that Amy can not cook, but if you total up the number of times that she has cooked compared to the number of times that I have, she is living like a champ, I love to cook, something I learned while in college, cook for the ladies, and you normally will get the best desert I'm not afriad of dying, I'm afraid of never really living- Erin Engle

Michele 1 #15 November 15, 2002 Quote so few women who know how. ROFL...yeah, right. I mean, I cook very well. I bake my own bread, make my own jelly, can cook circles around most people I know who are not professional chefs...if you ever tasted my chicken in wine with garlic mashed potatoes, you would swoon. I have my standards, though. If I really like you, you'll get treated to a meal you won't forget. If I don't like you, you get store bought bread and hamburgers.Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
Rookeskydiver 0 #16 November 15, 2002 mac and cheese damn straight. i did a 5 minute speech on how to make mac and cheese in my communications class. The whole class was rolling on the ground by the time i finish. Only a weirdo sucj as myself can make a minute speech on mac and cheese. As for cooking. Shiiit. i make the best top ramen. By the time its done the noodles are all nice and soft. ahhh good stuff PCSS # 1 Rookeskydiver "Its a Wonka Bar"....."Go ahead Charlie open it, lets see that golden ticket"
quatorze 1 #17 November 15, 2002 that was not really meant at any one in particular, just from personal experience, maybe all the women who said to me that they really didn't know how, were just calling my bluff, seeing if I was bullshitting them about it. happythoughts 0 #18 November 15, 2002 JT, I think that women or men who know how to cook should post a recipe for the non-cooks. Kind of a Monday Cookbook. The only way to learn is to do it and cooking is a cool skill. What do think? You can start it. On Monday, post a simple recipe that the others can try during the week. Next week, someone else posts one. That gives the others all week to try one recipe. By the end of March, everyone will have 15 nice, easy, but tasty recipes. Monday Cookbook is a good enough name for it.

JohnJug 0 #20 November 15, 2002 8 words: George Foreman Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine. I just got one a couple weeks ago for my birthday and I LOVE it. Already made T-Bone steaks with southwestern BBQ sauce, Grilled chicken with vegetables, and Thai Salmon steaks. I have never even attempted to cook fish before and the salmon steaks came out great, from frozen to ready to serve in about 15 minutes, too. I really enjoy cooking, it's just that usually when I get home from work, I am too depressed from being at a job that I hate for eight hours to get up the energy to make a big lavish meal. But next semester I am taking a cooking class at my local community college. Should be a lot of fun. You come from nothing. You go back to nothing. What have you lost? Nothing! SpeedRacer 1 #25 November 15, 2002 I can cook pretty well..I lived in an area where there were LOTS of different types of restaurants, so I had to learn to cook all different types of food, or I'd succumb to the temptation of blowing all my money in restaurants. I can even brew my own beer to go with it! Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------
