FreeFlyHol 0 #10 November 19, 2002 Oh my God...Dayton is the reason why I can never drive in OH again. (Silly cops and those stupid speed limit things). When cheese gets its picture taken, what does it say?
PhreeZone 20 #11 November 19, 2002 Oh... just ignore them, thats what all the locals do And the Highway patrol are the nicest out of all the law enforcement groups around. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
FreeFlyHol 0 #12 November 19, 2002 Yea, they were nice enough to not take my license for driving at ludicrous speeds. I passed through this summer, going to Cedar Point, and had my little brother drive once we left MI. (How lame is that)? When cheese gets its picture taken, what does it say? AggieDave 6 #13 November 19, 2002 Ludicrous Speed! Sir, we've never gone that fast before! Whats the matter Col. Sanders? Chicken? --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
wildblue 7 #14 November 19, 2002 Quote Oh my God...Dayton is the reason why I can never drive in OH again Heh.. must have been OSP, because Dayton cops could care less how fast you're going, as long as you're not shooting anyone or waking them up. OSP and most of the little towns around here are totally pricks. Good Example .. most of the smaller towns use speeding tickets as revenue - I swear they plan their budget by it. Tried to actually fight one once, because I really wasn't speeding. Yeah, that worked out well, I was threatened with "up to 30 days in jail and a $1000 fine". The whole 'traffic court' thing is a joke, they might as well call it "Give-us-your-money-and-leave court"it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
PhreeZone 20 #15 November 19, 2002 Ahhhh.... New Rome. Great town. Heres some info about it. Just remember they require you to be a town resident to be a law enforcement officer in that town. A full 1/10 of their population are police... Q: What is the population of New Rome? A: Not many, but this is open to some debate. However, according to the 2000 US Census, there are 60 residents of New Rome. 18 of which were minor children in 2000. All but one person identified themselves as 'white'. The population is almost evenly split between males and females and the median age is 34. The 1990 census counted 111 people. Q: And how many cops do they have? A: Again, it's like trying to count clouds. The figure most commonly thrown out is 14. The Dispatch is now reporting there are only 6. Several are full-time, but the majority are part-timers. The council has recently voted to hire 10 more officers to provide 24/7 "protection".Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
