cgross 1 #26 November 16, 2002 I jump the Ranch up state. Not to bad mouth Long Island, but they moved to Calverton AFB, which is a VOR for aircraft. needless to say there is a lot of traffic overhead, and that freaks me out. When u see a 767 at 5Kft over the DZ and the jump plane only a half mile back getting read to unload, it makes you think. I know people at long island, and I know they are safe, and they call the TRACON before drop, but I am just a bit more catious than some. Better safe than dead. If you ever need someone to jump with let me know. I am a bit new though. Let me get some experience before I hurt someone up there
jtval 0 #27 November 16, 2002 next time I'm home I'll have to get to the ranch. I noticed the traffic and it was kinda freaky! tell mike meyers I said hey! he's a crazy S.O.B. he'd know me as Joe from daytona! how long of a drive is the ranch from W.bab? I was under the impression it was a 6 hour drive?! does mass trans get you there? My photos My Videos
cgross 1 #28 November 16, 2002 *6hr drive* no fucking way. With no traffic it takes like 2hrs. The air traffic issue isn't at the Rancg though, it is at skydive LI ( just wanted to clear that up. Mike Myers id a funny SHIT. Every time I go there that guy has me in tears. I don't know if it the funny accent or what???? I won't be up there again til spring, but if you are ever going up. Let me know. My future brother-in-law from WB also jumps up there. I think I will be living in a tent every weekend up there this summer if I can. And does anyone there drive a vehicle that costs less than 40K? _________________________________________ Chris
cgross 1 #31 November 19, 2002 Mine cost less than 40K, but that is mainly because I skydive now. There is too much freakin traffic on this god for saken island.
