freeflir29 0 #1 November 15, 2002 Anyone here ever done this work? I haven't but it looks like a fairly easy way to make good cash. I'm going to check with some local Bondsmen tomorrow.

phatcat 0 #6 November 15, 2002 I have an uncle who does that. He's had to drive across the country to pick up fugitives, or else give up the green. He carries a gun and kicks in doors and cool shit like that, so it could be fun.
PhillyKev 0 #7 November 15, 2002 Dude...didn't you ever see the tv show "The Fall Guy"? He was a part time stunt man part time bounty hunter. Heather Thomas was in it...come on. This was one of my favorite shows as a kid. Easily beat out A Team, not quite as good as Knight Rider or Dukes of Hazard though. http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/ShowMainServlet/showid-1599/
freeflir29 0 #8 November 15, 2002 Oh...I was wondering if that was the reference but I could only remember him being a stunt man. Didn't remember the bounty hunter part. Wasn't it Heather Locklear? I saw her on a show last night. Isn't she about 50 now. She is still soooo hot God bless her!!! I too watched that show regularly. The truck was damn cool!!!!! PhillyKev 0 #9 November 15, 2002 No...I used to think it was Heather Locklear too, but it was Heather Thomas. They looked a lot alike at that age. I added a link, there's a pic of her from there.

quade 4 #12 November 15, 2002 Being a Skip Tracer or Bounty Hunter can be a lot of fun. Ya have all kinds of groovy powers that even the cops don't enjoy. Just don't get yourself dead.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

freeflir29 0 #14 November 19, 2002 For anyone that may have been wondering. I did some checking since I was off yesterday. At least in Georgia this is how it works. You MUST have a "concealed carry" permit and then be "Sponsored" by a Bonding agent. An application goes to the "Bonding manager" at the Sheriff's department and they do an extensive background investigation. Once they "approve" you....your in. Go get the skips and earn the cash. I spent ALL DAY yesterday in govt office after another filling out paperwork and handing out money. Well....we'll see what happens.....

jfields 0 #17 November 19, 2002 Quote Dude....the six million dollar man Of course he could be a stunt man, after being the six million dollar man. He took all that good government investment in his super powers and went to work in private industry making more money. Isn't that the American dream? Ducky 0 #18 November 19, 2002 Oh fawk Yeah that show rocked!!!!! I still want the truck he had! kwakSometimes your the bug, sometimes your the windshield. Sometimes your the hammer sometimes your the nail. Question is Hun, Do you wanna get hammered or do you wanna get nailed?????
Ducky 0 #19 November 19, 2002 The concealed weapons permit is not too difficult to get here in GA. The other clearances you'll need should be repeats of the steps you have to take to get the first permit. Good luck! kwakSometimes your the bug, sometimes your the windshield. riddler 0 #20 November 20, 2002 Yeah - like busting into people's homes without a warrant. Legal in Colorado if you're a bounty hunter. We've had a few people break into the wrong houses around here. What makes this interesting is if someone enters your property in Colorado and you feel they are armed and pose a risk to yourself (i.e. anyone with a gun will do), you can legally shoot to kill. We call this the "make my day" law. And yes, Clint Eastwood does own a house here. Sometimes I feel like I live in the wild west. Best I can do is not own a gun and hope no one shoots me.Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD

This give the DA the impression that they were running away. And #2, if they're outside when you pull the trigger, pull them back into the house, again, because if they're outside, why not just shut and lock the door?----- ~~~Michael
