cgross 1 #1 November 22, 2002 Hey, I would like to create my own web page. Naturally, being a skydiver now... I am broke! So, I was wondering if there were any places where i could create my own free web page. I am new at this, so the simpler, the better for now. I am learnin html, so that may help. Any suggestions? sharpfive 0 #2 November 22, 2002 http://www.tripod.com offers free web hosting. The down side is your pages are plastered with ads you can't control. For a minimal monthly fee you can buy ad-free space. Not bad for getting your feet wet, but you will outgrow it quickly.

cgross 1 #4 November 22, 2002 Do these sites come with set up help, or are you expected to code the entire page yourself?
sharpfive 0 #5 November 22, 2002 They do come with help, but it's pretty boring and not very flexible. If you have an HTML editor and an FTP client it's much more fun to go that way. Check out the web site, you'll see all the options.
PhreeZone 20 #6 November 22, 2002 There is a skydiver that has banner ads on here. Hook up with his company and they'll take care of you for what seems to be a very low cost and a nice product in the end.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
Cornholio 0 #7 November 22, 2002 Hey man, go check out www.PowWeb.com. I think I pay like 7.77 bucks a month, and I get the following: 250 MB Storage 250 POP3 Email Accounts Yourname.com Online Community 25 GB Transfer FrontPage 2002 Ext. WebStats SSL, MySQL, PHP4 Member Operations 99.7% Uptime (this is more like 98%, but for the value, I can't complain) 24/7 FTP Access 2 Months FREE Web-Based E-mail Plus More!! Check out my website at www.almgren.net and download some videos. They download at least 250K/sec during most times if you have the pipe to support it. They also offer a forum based (like this forum) support section where all your technical questions are answered. You don't need to be a member to post there either, so check it out. It's not free, but it's the next best thing I have found and I have been with a few of them over the past couple years. Hostsave.com sucks and Aplushosting.com sucks. They are both cheap, but their service and uptime and speed suck ass. Plus, if you refer me I get a month free...hehe Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
