gus 1 #2 November 21, 2002 My cousin Walter jerked off in public once. True story. He was on this plane to New Mexico when all of the sudden the hydraulics went. The plane starts spinning around, going out of control, so he figures it's all over and whips it out and starts beating it right there. So all the other passengers take a cue from him and they start whipping it out and beating like mad! So all the passengers are beating off, plummeting to their certain doom, when all of the sudden, the hydraulics kick back in. The plane rights itself and they land safely and everyone puts their penises or, whatever, you know, away and deboard. No one mentions the phenomenon to anyone else. Spooky. wmw999 2,589 #4 November 21, 2002 Done all three. The Ouija board said I was a resistant person, and that it wouldn't work while I was in the room(!). The fortune teller told me I'd have a new job withint 2 weeks or 2 months; it's 5 years later. I'm perfectly open-minded that these things might work for others, but they don't seem to be worth the investment in time and/or money for meWendy W. sunshine 2 #5 November 21, 2002 I have a silly fear of Ouija boards and refuse to be around them. I do own Tarot Cards and that's about the only thing i've used for fortune telling. If i remember, i'll bring them to Eloy and tell everyone's fortune. It will be fun!! ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug! Snowbird 0 #8 November 21, 2002 I had my cards read this last July, a few months after I started jumping. She knew nothing about me, we'd never met. She puts 2 cards on the table and the first thing she tells me is, 'You've recently discovered a taste for danger, and it's getting stronger.' A few minutes and 3 cards later she stops abruptly, looks up at me, and says, 'Does your husband know you don't want children?' A month earlier, we'd made the decision to not have kids. That sort of set the pace. I was stunned by the entire thing. She kept calling me 'sweetie', but when the topic turned to my father, who had died a year earlier, she suddenly started calling me 'kid', which was my dad's pet name for me. She also told me that 'my element' is airAll in all, kinda freaky but it gave me much to think about. PLFXpert 0 #12 November 21, 2002 Wow, a lot of good responses. 1. I've played Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board a hundred times when I was little...it really did work one time. Too weird to explain. 2. I threw my Quija board out when I was little, I'm Christian and once, my best friend and I would look at each others eyes so we knew we weren't moving it, when it would stop, we'd look down and see what letter....the question we asked it was, "Who is moving this?" and it spelled out: D E V E L....so I guess the devil can't spell? Ironically, there was a sonic boom right after that. 3. Fortune teller...while I believe most are fakes...the one I went to told me something I'd NEVER told a soul. That was trippy. Oh, and my grandmother thinks I'm some sort of living angel....she's a mathematic genious and did some equation and that's how she knows....ha ha ha haMy personal belief is: I believe in possibilities but very few definitities. I believe in God, I believe in myself...everything else is a possibility. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

ginandjuice 0 #15 November 21, 2002 I played light as a feather and we lifted my friend who was 160 pounds. Mind you at the time we are all about 11 years old. Ive had my palm read twice and it was by the same woman (I was skeptical) and she repeated the same crap and nothing was true. Ive wanted to go to a good psychic, but i dont want to at the same time. It can be a waste of money with the useless info that they will sometimes give you. PLFXpert 0 #20 November 21, 2002 Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board is a levitation game. A person lays down, several people put one finger on each hand underneath that person..the idea is to keep saying "light as a feather, stiff as a board" until the person falls into a state of b/w sleep b/w awake, thinking they're light as a feather and stiff as a board...at this point, you would be able to levitate the person with only one finger on each hand under them. It's spooky! We used to always play it at sleepovers and it never worked...until that one time at camp...I won't give more details...don't want to freak anyone out Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. Yeah, Cassadega did for psychics what Stonehenge did for rocks. When I was there, the trailer park had about 300 residents. Every 2nd one had a sign out with a specialty. "Psychic", "Palmist", "Used Car salesmen"... People come from all over to get their money stolen. They basically would ask me some questions, have a glass of tea and "rest". Then, after they had enough background, they would begin. Knowing that I am a student: "I see a whirlwind picking up some papers...are you undecided about your college and your future?" Duh, I'm a college student. "You date quite a bit, but can't find that special someone..." Gee...sure...maybe like 100% of everyone I've ever met when they were 18. "Your grandfather was a tall, stern man..." (I'm 5'10") Well...wrong. 5'4" Irish practical joker. "So you are from ..., I have a client who is a wealthy doctor there." Rdutch 0 #24 November 21, 2002 Quote Ever played Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board, or Quija, or been to a fortune teller? Anything strange ever happen? I'll tell you my story if you tell me yours? OK about 5 years ago I was happily employed and had no desire to ever leave Miami. I also thought that the girl I was with would be THE ONE. We had a Tarot card reader (A real old cuban lady) come into the bar I worked at, and read palm's and Tarot cards one night. I had no desire to do it, but after a little help from my friend's, I had a reading done. Right after the reading I thought, she is so wrong everything she said has no value. Here is what she said: 1: You will be moving soon somewhere not too far away but you will find a new life there. Ok, that was way outta there I loved my friends and my Job and would never leave. 2: You will find the love of your life between the ages of 32-35 and live a very happy marriage for the rest of your life. Once again she was crazy cause I loved my girlfriend and we were going to last forever. 3: You will take a direction in your Carreer that you never would have planned, but a good direction. No way I was working in one of the best nightclubs in Miami making great money and I loved my job. OK here is what happened. About 2 months after that I had a wild hair, from working 25 days a month 14 hour day's, so I called my brother up who lives in northern florida about 10 minutes from deland and said I was coming for a week. While I was there I read an ad for Skydive Deland, and went and took my aff. After that I took another week off and jumped everyday. I then Quit my job in Miami, asked my girlfriend to move up here, She said No way, broke up with me, and I got a job with my brother. So now I live in Deland, im single (But she said somewhere between 32-35, Im 32 now). And I am a fulltime college student, making ends meet by shooting Video. So everything she said turned out to be 100% correct so far and I would have bet my first child she was wrong. So maybe there is some merrit to it, or maybe she was just lucky. Never know. But I think I should send her a case of beer at least. Weird thing is I told Bob Halett (The owner of sd Deland) the story about a year later, and he said they never have advertised in a local magazine. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of! Michele 1 #25 November 21, 2002 I've had many "occult" experiences....some sought, as in psychic readings, tarot, etc., and some not sought, as in hearing/seeing something for which there is no explanation that I know right now. No one has ever predicted my future (You will be poor all your life. You will marry a gay man. You will skydive.). I am neutral in some areas, and a firm believer that there are things we can't see/feel/touch in other areas. I don't think the Amityville Horror was real. I do think there are places which are "haunted" (some of the Civil War places, for example, or the Tower of London). I love ghost stories, but don't believe them just because I've heard them. Small little factoid...ever wonder why, here in CA, there's a law which talks about disclosing a death on the property you're purchasing/selling if it was in the house itself, and within the last 3 years? Yup...there was a court case. It seems we are the only state which has proved the existence of a ghost in court....! LOL, the buyer "sensed" a presence, after living there for a little while...decided they couldn't live there, investigated the property, determined a violent death in the house from records, and sued the seller for failure to disclose a material fact, and won...at least, that's the story which circulates. I think, personally, the buyer was looking for a way out of a deal he decided he didn't like...but now there's this law...but I digress... All that being said, the Light as a Feather thing is an interesting phenomena. It is a form of self/group hypnosis, similar to the flashlight/mirror/darkroom and "I believe in Bloody Mary" and the resultant distortion of your reflection. The human mind is a most fascinating place...what it can do, what it can convince itself of, what it can convince others of, is incredible... OTOH, there's Cleo...Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
