Real? Manipulated? We can't say for sure, but either way these photographs demonstrate nothing beyond the trivial. As much as we may enjoy poking fun at our politicians, they aren't so clueless that they don't know binoculars don't work with the lens caps in place, or would stand confusedly staring through capped binoculars at total blackness for several minutes at a time. The Presidents in these pictures might be looking through night-vision scopes (which would be capped but still usable during daylight), or they may have been handed capped binoculars which they briefly raised their eyes before realizing the caps were still in place while a photographer or two managed to snap pictures during those brief instances.

This Picture kinda says it all...

Obviously fake! W's has been very successful in presenting himself as a good 'ole boy who is not the brightest bulb! You need to be careful of people who do that. Once you start thinking you are smarter than he or his staff is, you start making stupid tactical mistakes. Just ask the Democrat leadership...if you can find it these days.

Blue skies,

Jim

I think this picture was already discussed in a previous thread a few weeks ago. Apparently those are night vision binoculars with lens caps with little pinholes in them. That's the way they're supposed to be used during the day, apparently, so you can tell how things will look at night thru night vision.

Thank you erno. It pisses me off as well. I get so f'ing sick and tired of people embracing internet bullshit pictures and letters just because they agree with the message, content or the humiliation ( or attempt at) of another person they dont like or agree with. (did that make sense?) oh well, you get what I'm saying.

The real fools are the ones that pass this info on with all the credit in the world without using the internet truth or false sites out there first.

The ones that pass this stuff on KNOWING it is bullshit is about as lame as the person that doctored the pic in the first place.

I mean, seriously, what kind of a person would sit in his cubicle altering pictures to make people look like fools. Oh, wait, I guess that would be most journalists.

Damn sheep.

Now that you mention it, those aren't regular military binos.

Actually, they look more like gyro stabilized goggles than NOD's. They work well when used in moving vehicles (HUMV's, helo's, tanks,...)
Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.
