Only one of them went to complete hell....it was the same group of people, doing about the same stuff, but for some reason, everyone forgot how to fly on that one. I got down, went to log a few jumps...realized that the weirdo jump was my 400th. I'm cursed, I tell you! I spun non stop in one direction or the other the entire dive. Kelly Laborde shot video. Classic BASE jumper material when he tracks away and "looks" at his bare hand. Realizing he doesn't seem to be wearing an altimeter he takes his cue from the guy tracking a short distance away. Just for the record...I did manage to hold onto the tube and landed with it. My 200th, incidentally, is my favorite because I have pictures !! So, the plan was to build a wedge with me in the center (silver helmet) "Img1159". In "Img1160" you can clearly see my friends (l-r) Derrick, Chris, Theresa and Ken flying into position... Alas, poor Chris had a wee-little-bit-too much forward movement dialed in (see Img1166) and said hello to our friendly camera flyer (Joel K. aka Falling K). Poor Chris, you can see he really doesn't want to be there and as we part our ways I give a final wave to what was an entertaining jump! (see Img1169). Glad I'm not the only one with sorta okay funny stories for an occasion like this. Thanks Joel for some great pics! The best part on the 4000th was getting out of the king air last with only the pilot & girl sitting in front of me knowing I had disrobed while on the way to altitude.I had wanted to do a Night Naked 999, but alas, made my 998th early in the day at a boogie. Waiting til night time for my next jump was out of the question! My husband went low on my 1000th jump. Then he arranged to have me pied like 7 times. Hmmm. Divorced him. tspillers 0 #47 November 27, 2002 There have been many memorable 00 jumps. 100 was a crew jump with my mentor. Me on a Falcon 235 and him on a Jonathon 135 I believe. My 1400 was on my First (beer long time ago) Owned Sigma. 1700 was definately memorable. I took my wife on her first tandem. I think I was more nervous than her. 1800 was 3 weeks after 1700. 2000 I flew a 182 and jumped out of it, on purpose. Todd I am not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example.
