Guest #1 November 28, 2002 I didn't mention that when I walked outside this morning before dawn at about 6AM, that I saw an unbelievable streak of light, with several streaks trailing and below it, traveling from West to East at about 30 deg above the horizon to the North in Everett, WA. I just stood there, transfixed, and watched it as it went by... I wondered what the heck it was. Couldn't be a meteor. If it was an airplane on fire, it was it bad shape, but still airborne. I watched for a couple of minutes as it gradually went over the horizon into the early light. Due to its speed, appearance and direction, I concluded that it was a manmade object, perhaps an old satellite, re-entering the atmosphere. I just learned from a local TV station's news desk that it was an old Russian booster. THAT WAS SO F***IN' KEWL!!!! "Look, Earl! Aliens!!!" hehehe "The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."
Sonic 0 #2 November 28, 2002 Best one I've seen was about 1 hour before sunset when teh sun was low in the sky with a cloud in front of it, and you could see the black line of the shadow going across the sky - it was barely visible but definatly there.----------------------------------- It's like something out of that twilighty show about that zone
Guest #3 November 28, 2002 Trouble with me is, I'm a freelance reporter, right? But I didn't have the presence of mind to run and grab my Hi-8, and that station is looking for footage. I could have made some beer money too! [Kick Self][Kick Self][Kick Self][Kick Self] "The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat." Guest #6 November 28, 2002 From the local TV station... KOMO NEWS ALERT: What many people saw early this morning in the skies over the Northwest was an old Russian rocket body that re-entered Earth's atmosphere and burned up, according to the North American Aerospace Defense Command. If you have home video or pictures please let us know."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."
Viking 0 #7 November 28, 2002 i once saw some kind of missle launch when i was driving over to sudsyfist's house. Bright point of light with a cone of light trailing behind it. It went behind some clouds and lit them up and then faded away. Pretty cool shit.I swear you must have footprints on the back of your helmet - chicagoskydiver My God has a bigger dick than your god -George Carlin
