Jabeln79 0 #1 November 30, 2002 Hello again people. well some of you might remember me but i see so many new people hear. for those that do remember me some have thought i dissappeared but really at the age of 22 i decided i needed something different in my life and joined the ARMY. Good or bad decision i havent figured it out yet i am still training in AIT. but it looks good so for i think ill have a good time. the only downer is the lack of free time. but that will come . Trying to jump when your not allowed off post for 3 months is a little difficult then when the do let you off you only ahave about 20 hrs. But if you desperate enough youll always find some way to get back into the thing you love most. So last weekend o managed to hop in a cab a ($80) cab and head on up to skydive the point at west point skydiving with some friends. The atmosphere of the dz was so great it reminded me quite a bit of my home Archway just the excitement in the air was great to be back. I took 2 people making there 1rst jumps and am taking more next weekend but the 1rst time jumper excitment that they had just brought me back to a world that was so hard to voluntarily give up.. anyway to what seemed like an eternity i finally found myself engulfed in the air once again. my eyes wide open to make sure i didnt miss one second of the view on the way from 15k on down. what a feeling it was, unfortunately i only had time for 2 jumps but thats ok it was a wonderful taste of life. Next week theres more to come. well sorry this turned out so long. i just had to share and some people here just dont understand like you all out there. well until next week may all you eyes be turned upward.
