riddler 0 #1 December 1, 2002 Was out drinking last night with a few cute girls and some seriously drunk guy and chatting about jumping. The one drunk guy *swore* he was right about this. Said he did two tandems in Florida. Said for his next jump, they would send him out with one instructor, and if he passed, they would let him jump solo. I think he was full of beer (or something). Anyone ever heard of getting certified in three jumps? The only programs I know of are static line, AFF, and that new-fangled integrated program (IFP?), and none of them are three-jump certifications. Sounds like he was BSing to me ...Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD
Sonic 0 #2 December 1, 2002 Some of the things whuffos can come out with are great.----------------------------------- It's like something out of that twilighty show about that zone

skydiverchick 0 #4 December 1, 2002 I've had several conversation with wuffos that have said something similiar to that or... "I did a tandem then the instuctor told me how to do flips and stuff so my next jump I went out and did blah blah blah...but after I realized how easy it was it lost its appeal." To my knowledge it is a BS story...no dropzone in the world would let someone do that. Mother Hen
CrazyIvan 0 #5 December 1, 2002 I'd just reply to that guy: "Hey buddy, that's cool, but you know, if you jump 4 times, they'll release you from the harness during the tandem, so you can actually FREEFALL" __________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you.
