Speeeeeeeeed Dive

Recommended Posts

I tried a couple speed dives this weekend, since my headdown really sucks, they didn't go as well as I had liked, but I was able to get a bit of speed on the two dives (even though I was only stable for a couple thousand feet on both of them).

Dive one: max speed 254mph average 189mph
Dive two: max speed 265mph average 209mph.

The pro-track was set to TAS and in my helmet, so the numbers could be off, and I was in jeans and a t-shirt for both. I'm going to work on normal HD skills for the next while and then see what I can do.

Anyone interested in holding a fastest man contest at Eloy or is there one going on with the boogie? It might be fun to try.:P

Why not have a fast/slow contest? Take the difference of your fastest and slowest speeds on the same dive. We did that once. It can be fun.

here we go - 244 mph difference. max - 291 mph, slowest - 47 mph. B|

How in the hell did you do that?!?!?!!?! i didn't know you could head down with a wing suit on!!

B| try to go to full track at almost 300 mph. you carry so much speed that it's more
then enough to slow you down below regular 120 mph. my slowest was 41 mph in all nylon
tony pit special w/o grippers. i can fell that i get almost unstable due to the low speed B|
