skymama 37 #4 December 2, 2002 Yes, San Antonio FL is a happening place. We had to wait 20 minutes for our table at the restaurant and it was only 6:00!She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
GrumpySmurf 0 #5 December 2, 2002 In Madison, they not only tow it, but because they have nowhere to store the cars - they simply drop them off at some random location they find outside the city core. You then have to call them to find out where they dropped it off to and pray it ain't in one of the less desirable parts o' towne.

If something happens to your car it seems like you could sue and win, seems like if they take posession of your car they take the responsibility of it too. Sez right here on the SEIZURE NOTICE: "The city assumes no liability for loss or damage to this vehicle while the vehicle is immobilized." It just seems damn unamerican that someone can legally come steal my car while I'm at work.Skydiving is for cool people only

Stacy 0 #10 December 2, 2002 i don't think the town is large enough to have cops. i think andrea's van plowing in there was the most exciting thing the locals have seen in a long time.

I'm sure that was the contents of the van, not the van itself, you guys probably could have rode tricycles in there and had the same effect knowing youJessica -- don't they Boot your car for unpaid tickets? they actually tow it? I don't think it meets the "town" qualifications. It is more of an intersection-with-a-light between DC and the interstate.
Jessica 0 #13 December 3, 2002 Quotethey actually tow it? Yep, they hauled it off. Booted it first so I couldn't move it while they were getting the tow truck there. I ran downstairs before they got it loaded and yelled at the police officer. That made me feel better.Skydiving is for cool people only

RevJim 0 #25 December 3, 2002 Ha! When i lived in Madison back in 1990, I had a car towed on me. It was a real piece of crap. I bought it for a hundred bucks, and it was about dead anyway. I had never registered it, I just stuck on a set of plates from my Sunbird GT (the one that got repo'd ('nother story). When it got towed, I called back to Waupaca (my address was still up here) and reported the plates stolen. Fuck 'em, they could keep the car. The tow bill and storage was more than the car was worth! It's your life, live it!
