hooked 0 #1 December 4, 2002 I just loaded in the new MSN8. Everything is different now. I can't find my 'refresh' button. It has to be there somewhere. The mail is all different. I probably will spend the rest of the day trying to figure this out........not fun! J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings. Lolie 0 #3 December 4, 2002 Hmm... I read the subject and thought you meant pennies, dimes, nickels... I'm dumb. Me? I love change? Both kinds. You'll be used to the new setup in a week, I bet. -Miranda you shall above all things be glad and young / For if you're young, whatever life you wear it will become you;and if you are glad / whatever's living will yourself become. pop 0 #5 December 4, 2002 where can you downlaod msn8 from?7 ounce wonders, music and dogs that are not into beer
hooked 0 #6 December 4, 2002 I don't think so. At least I found the refresh (by right click). I know I will get use to the change, but I am so hectic right now and have a huge headache, I didn't need this now. Outlook Express, that was with MSN no longer works, they have switched to a web based email. You can still configure it to a pop3 email. I will work with the new and see if I like it better, before I switch back. And.....you lose your Favorites....until you import them back in. Which means my favorites will also show up on the other computer in the room. We are going to have to find out how to keep these separate. (There are two computers using this account). I am not a computer nerd so that is why these changes frustrate me! J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings. hooked 0 #7 December 4, 2002 Quotewhere can you downlaod msn8 from? I'm not sure you can download it. If you already have MSN they should be sending you a CD for MSN8. If you aren't already on MSN you can borrow someone's CD or I would think you could call Microsoft and they would send you a CD for MSN8. I'm not so sure I like all this new stuff. I probably will......once I find out how it all works! hooked 0 #11 December 5, 2002 This is a bad day!!!!! Since there are two computers hooked up to the same account, we are now sharing all the same settings and mail! My screen looks different not the way the other computer looks for MSN 8. I can't access my hotmail either, it just sends me back to msn mail. Then, with my headache, I had to get brakes put on my car! I know I needed them, but who needs the extra cost!!!!! edit: I briefly saw a message that someone on here wanted to add me to ????, but then the message was gone, so if you read this (whoever you are, pm me please) J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings. I just want to find out an easy way to get to "my" hotmail account. you can use any browser you want once you connect to the internet. unless you uninstalled IE the program will still be there, use it and go to the hotmail site.. I use MSN for my dial-up (i travel alot) but cant stand all the rainbow butterfly crap MSN pushes on you, so once you connect close the MSN browser and use IE or netscape the same way you always did.. hmm just realized you may have to minimize the MSN browser instead depending on how your connection is set up. ( if closing it disconnects you)____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
hooked 0 #13 December 5, 2002 Zenister, thanks I'm going to go try that now. But I still don't like my hotmail coming into the msn mail! Edit: It did work that way, but the two mails are still being merged!J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings.
