If it snows in Seattle or Tacoma, it won't last long.....and it is a real wet snow! But, I'll do a snow dance for ya! Leaving Florida for the NW, is going to be a big weather change for you!!!
 freeflir29 0 #17 December 5, 2002 One piece of advice. If you are going to live there you need to buy a few things. #1 some good rain wear. #2 A snowboard #3 A boat complete with saltwater fishing gear and a crab pot (Redrock crabs are some of the best I have ever had and you can catch them quite easily right in Puget sound) #4 Scuba gear....There is some great diving in the Puget sound area. #5 A nice compound bow. If you have never bow hunted Elk you are missing out. All this to do and you may even get in some skydiving during the AWESOME weather in spring and summer.
 weid14 0 #18 December 5, 2002 Well, I'm pretty much checked out on the rain gear and snow sports equipment.
 SkyDolphin 0 #20 December 5, 2002 See you at Kapowsin next sunny day. I live in Redmond which is just a few miles East of Seattle. Hope you like hop and pops. You are moving here in the middle of the rainy/cloudy season. But then once you've had your first summer here, you will understand why so many people love it here. Rhonda
 freeflir29 0 #21 December 5, 2002 Quote once you've had your first summer here, you will understand why so many people love it here. The first summer I lived in Spokane we went 54 days with absolutely no rain. Sunny skies and 88-90F every day. Then rained off and on for about a week and we went another 52 days with no rain until the fall weather came. What a beautiful summer that was. Of course...I can also remember the summer I bought my motorcycle. I remember riding past the big sign on Fairchild AFB. The middle of June and it was raining and 48F. It rained constantly that entire summer!!! They usually are very nice though.
 SkyDolphin 0 #22 December 5, 2002 The weather in Spokane on the Eastern side of the Cascades is completely different from the Western side. We usually have great summers. Not too hot but sunny and with all the water and mountains it's just gorgeous. One thing that surprised me when I moved here was that people usually don't let the rain stop from them from being active. People are out running, skating, biking, wakeboarding, whatever in the rain. Except skydiving of course. That's why we all head to CA as often as we can in the winter. Rhonda
 freeflir29 0 #23 December 5, 2002 QuoteThe weather in Spokane on the Eastern side of the Cascades is completely different from the Western side It's not really all that differen't. Mostly just less rain...more snow...and it's 10 degrees colder in the winter and 10 degrees hotter in the summer.
