I agree. A huge amount of it is show. The Kiss stage show appeal. In his interviews, he states that he is not a freak, but merely outside the "family values" definitions. He seems to be a serious businessman/performer in the interviews and comes out with some thought provoking stuff. A lot of time, the people who identify themselves as freaks, etc are doing it with a lot of anger. Just telling the world off. He doesn't. He actually says stuff in some of his songs, not just the screw-everything lyric to piss off parents. He just says this is my life. It's his job, he's a successful stage act. If you listen to Rose, she definitely wants to be the exhibitionist, look-at-me type. For MM, it's a day at the office. I saw Rose do a late night talk show.
