Video Help

Recommended Posts

Can anybody help me. After hours of fighting (and almst throwing my PC out the window) I've managed to get Windows Movie Maker working on my PC but it saves the movies as some stupid .WMV file which from what I can see is no use to man nor beast as the only thing it'll play on is my own PC, which kinda defeats the object of having a movie editor>:(>:(!!!

Does anybody know of anything that'll transfer the .WMV to .MPG or something that'll allow me to play it on other PCs (the wholepoint of the exercise).

Cheers

Premiere, as Clay says will do, or media cleaner, will do the job.
You can download a lite version of premiere from www.adobe.com if you don't want to part with the cash.
Or you can try and persude someone to send you an 'evaluation copy'.
If you have problems, post queries on the camera forum, there's lots of peeps over there who know how to compress, / recompress video to various formats.

Yup, if I kick somebody else of their PC. Have had a look at the adobe site and will get the trial version from there, will just start it downloading and will go down the pub.
