2nd Amendment Ruling (!!!!)

Recommended Posts

This is disturbing to me, having read the Bill of Rights.

The newest ruling is from the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco.

ASSHOLES!

How is it that the worlds "THE PEOPLE" mean one thing in the other Amendments to the Bill of Rights, but mean something else with respect to the second?

F*in' liberals.

C'mon down to San Clemente...the best climate in the world and home to Nixon...

What movie?

Actually, my dad ribs me about the "liberal" California, but for some reason, I am not bothered by a lot of the issues here, and I'm definitely "right" of center on most issues. But on others, like this one, I'm full tilt, and I don't even own a gun.

My interests and needs are fairly simple, and they are met or exceeded in California. Good infrastructure, plenty to do, plenty of people to meet, fantastic weather, easy to get anywhere from here. On just about any scale, it's high-quality.

Sounds like good news to me (and I live in California--and own an arsenal).

The Supreme's are going to be forced to take up the issue, since the Circuits are disagreeing. One of the roles of the Supremes is to create nationwide consistency on constitutional issues.

I doubt the Supremes will agree with the 9th Circuit. Plus, this will be the first time in at least 50 years (possibly ever) that the Supremes will have to rule on substantive 2nd Amendment issues.

If I was the NRA, I'd be rejoicing--and prepping my appeal.

"The historical record makes it equally plain that the amendment was not adopted in order to afford rights to individuals with respect to private gun ownership or possession," Judge Stephen Reinhardt wrote.

Um, when the amendment was adopted, state militias were staffed by individuals using their own, private guns.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is the same federal court that ruled earlier this year that the phrase "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance violates the separation of church and state.

Jah, and the Supremes won't be able to saw the baby in half this time, as was done with US vs. Emerson. I can't wait!

When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns.

Good thing I've already got my .357. With the way they are trying to outlaw things, it won't be too long before revolvers will be added to the list. Let them try and take my gun. :) They will have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands.

Ya know...I hate that saying. I prefer to say that I will pry the MP-5's out of the cold, dead hands of the SWAT team. ;)

I like that saying. I'm going to adopt it. Thanks!

I would have been out of here already, but I did my first jump in May, then I took a real job teaching to support my newly formed habit, now I'll never get out!

At least I'm stuck only 50 miles from Perris........
