"Midwest" weather sucks

Man, I finally have a couple days to jump while I am in Houston and the weather just sucked. Monday (12/1/02) I drive to SkyDiveHouston and of course theres no one jumping. Of course its early and its Monday and there are a few clouds but... I waited around, went into town and had lunch and then waited some more to no avail.

I would like to say that the people at the DZ were very nice and all however. We swapped bumper stickers, I bought a shirt and was gone.

The next day of course was much worse. This is the first time in my limited jump career that the weather was against me. California just does NOT have weather like that...

You know, commenting to someone in Texas that Texas is the 'mid-west' is punishable by an ass-kicking. No kidding, its in the state constitution, infact I think its a Class B offense if you don't kick their ass...

LOL Living in California it all is "midwest" until you hit New York. I do like the phrase Baja Oklahoma however.

Austin, oh, austin, home of t.u. You know we don't actually clame that town anymore, right? Ever since they degraded to being purple haired hippy trash. A guy I know from California told me once that he was told that Austin was the "only normal place in Texas." That alone is enough for me to keep me from going there.

(Ok, seriously, Austin is *weired* its not like any where else in Texas. I'm going to stick to the Dallas area, or rural Texas, they're normal...)
