Is this common?

Recommended Posts

I was just wondering if it was common for your ears to hurt for a while after jumping. Mine hurt for about a day after I jump, but just the right one.

Thanks!

It's not uncommon.

Generally speaking, you want to avoid jumping any time you have sinus issues, hay fever or a cold. There are ways around this if you really have to jump, but at a certain point it's just better to sit the day out.

Also, I've found that over the years you'll sort of get used to it and it will annoy you less and less.

You probably have a little bit of fluid that got pushed into your middle ear. It should go away on it's on but there is always the possibility of infection. If it lasts more than a week or becomes really painful see a Dr. Otherwise...it just comes with the territory. Just don't jump when you have a cold. It can really mess you up.

or you could aviod the DR bill and use a hot needle to relieve the pain....but then you would be deaf! thats not the best idea, but it is ONE of them!

seriously, I wouldnt mess around with your hearing...monitor it if your pain isnt gone soon see a Doc!
