freeflir29 0 #5 December 9, 2002 Quote He doesn't seem to mind Yep...most of them love it. If they trust you. That horse is showing MAJOR trust to let you grab him like that. It's kind of unnatural for a horse to let anything get hold of it's head. We had a horse when I was growing up that we raised on a bottle because his mother died when he was 24 hrs old. It took a long time for him to realize that he was a horse. He liked to play a little game where he would stick his tongue out and I would try to grab it. I swear he could do that all day long. I, on the other hand would get tired of my hand being all slimy.
happythoughts 0 #6 December 9, 2002 Quote He doesn't seem to mind. We do it all the time. The end of their nose is real sensitive. A friend was tickling it one of our horses and the horse sneezed. Imagine having two one-foot long nostrils unload on a white t-shirt.
SkyDolphin 0 #7 December 9, 2002 Oh I have those nostrils unload on a yellow shirt before. It was kind of nasty. Oreo is a great horse. It took him all of about a week to get to know us and trust us. He's a perfect horse for a kid. R
ladyskydiver 0 #8 December 9, 2002 Nice pics. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
SkyDolphin 0 #9 December 9, 2002 QuoteHe liked to play a little game where he would stick his tongue out and I would try to grab it That's funny. Tori was doing that with Oreo the other day. They have a great relationship already after only 2 and a half months. We don't actually own him. We half lease him but I would buy him tomorrow if the owner ever decided to actually sell him. Puddle of Mud is where it's at now. Personally, I think they could send them all into space. Actually, one of the fathers hauled 6 girls to the concert last year. Standing in back of them and keeping an eye on them without appearing to be with them. He has yet to regain his high-range hearing. "...there they are...omg...omg...O-M-G... eeeeeeeeee......OMG...eeeeeee" Then, the ride home "...buzz,buzz,buzz...hee hee hee... omg... noooo...really?...that is so...omg" Then they spent the rest of the weekend playing the game with 11-yo boys who don't know there is a game. Important to get 4 years of practice before the kickoff. The father remains medicated.
