Deuce 1 #1 December 9, 2002 OK, so my daughters are in Brownies (pre-girl scouts) first-graders. They march in a parade Saturday afternoon, so the Moms and Dads are walking along behind them. After the parade we decide to go to this pub and have dinner. There's about 9 parents and 11 girls. One of the Dads and his Mrs. separate to different tables and it ends up with the guys sitting at one table (with the kids) and the women sitting at their own table. Now, I can appreciate giving the Mom's a break, but I thought it was weird that we separated to "boys and girls" tables. WTF? Whaddya think? Other than giving the Mom's a break by having the kids at our table, why segregate?
skymama 37 #2 December 10, 2002 Maybe the women were discussing all the wonderful presents they are going to buy their men for Christmas in appreciation for them giving up one of their Saturdays to walk with their girls in a holiday parade. Hey, it could happen! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
Iflyme 0 #3 December 10, 2002 The "pre-Brownies" here are called "Sparks". Tonight was the last Brownies night before Christmas for my 8 year old ... they did craft stuff... Anyway, the Moms probably talked about all the crappy stuff thier husbands do, so the men and kids were likely better off at their own table!
