skybytch 273 #1 December 10, 2002 I've been playing The Sims Online play test for a month or so. Lots of fun and very addictive! The game goes "live" in the US on Dec. 17th. They're asking for lots more people to join the play test over the next two weeks. If you're at all interested in checking the game out without spending any money, go here and order a play test disc. Totally free, they even pay the shipping within the US. If you decide to keep playing after the game goes live you get to keep your character's name, skills and money (that's the rumor anyway). Once it's gone live it's $10 per month, and I think you also have to buy the production software (I've already preordered mine; I forget the exact price but think it was around $50). If you get on there let me know. My main sim is Sky Blue in Alphaville. I can give you all kinds of tips on game play and the best ways to make money and build skills fast. You do have to have the disc in the 'puter to play. I'm just playing at home after work and on weekends.
