Great pics Dave! And a sweet looking rig!

At your size though, did you give any thoughts to having Type 8 risers (and possibly big rings), instead of the Type 17 risers and small rings? Just curious...

I did think about it, but decided to go with the mini-risers/rings. Yeah, the mini-rings give a mechanical disadvange, but I'm ok with that. As for the mini-risers, I spent some time reading about them vs. the Type8's and decided that the modern Type 17s would still be ok for me.

I went through that too, with my new rig, but with the riser inserts the mechanical advantage is very small.
