She's been a big influence in my short story writing. Guest #7 December 12, 2002 She set the bar so high with Big Science that I was really disappointed with her later works (although Strange Angels was okay). A lot of people pooh-pooh her, but they don't realize that like Brian Eno, she was at least a decade ahead of her time. quade 4 #8 December 12, 2002 I've only seen her live on stage once for Bright Red. Night in Baghdad was amazing. She also did a couple of bits that ended up on Life as a String. She was working on One White Whale and did that YEARS before it ended up on an album.
