skymama 37 #1 December 12, 2002 I heard a reporter talking about this job that he found advertised on the net. It pays $55,000 tax free, and it gives you plenty of opportunity to travel to exotic locals. Woohoo, exciting, eh? There's a small downside to it. There is a chance that you can be exposed to radiation. Have you figured out what it is? It's for a UN Weapon's Inspector, and apparently it's on the UN website. I looked for it, but there was too much to search through. For some reason, I just found this kind of amusing. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
jtval 0 #2 December 12, 2002 eew only 55,000? that is shit! they are offering almost 100,000 tax free for a years worth of construction over there! (at least they were 2 years ago)My photos My Videos
freeflir29 0 #3 December 12, 2002 I have a friend that is over there right now. Radiation is the LEAST of your worries. VX, Choking agents, Mustard gas, and ricin are the things I would be a BIT more concearned about.
jtval 0 #4 December 12, 2002 the reason you should be worried about all of thsat is b/c boredom may cuase tyou to eat that crap!My photos My Videos
nacmacfeegle 0 #5 December 12, 2002 100,000 tax free.....and the rest. At least with the radiation you can 'see it coming' with your G counter. As Clay mentioned its the other nasties that I would be worried about, if I were Saddam, I would be busy poisoning these guys right now, no weapons inspectors = no weapons inspections. Oh well...I'll get one one of these days. The MONEY ROCKS!!!!!
nacmacfeegle 0 #9 December 12, 2002 I was working on power stations. A thousand ways to die each day, and none of them under my control..... Guns pointed at me, dead people lying in the street, a civil war going on around me, leaking fuel gas systems, lakes of toxic tranformer oil, turbines litterally shaking apart in front of my very own eyes, kids hot tapping gas and petroleum pipelines, kids frigging up transformers on the national grid, live wiring hanging out all over the place, rotten access gantries, highly volatile chemicals being 'wheelbarrowed' around by kids, leaking fuel oil tank farms, held up by the police AND the army in the same night. I was there to do some safety audits...HAH! where to start? Oh and a month long dose of the shits. Bastard of it all was I was there for virtually no extra money...Not a happy bunny. not happy at all.... -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. freeflir29 0 #10 December 12, 2002 QuoteI was there for virtually no extra money That sucks....the job I wanted paid $45,000 for a 3 month rotation. Cash...lump sum upon completion. The company paid all travel and living expenses. Fairly safe too. Just doing a little patrolling around some BP Oil interests.

I was told that you can detect ricin exposure to your body.....at time of autopsy (if they are looking for it)._______________________________ If I could be a Super Hero, I chose to be: "GRANT-A-CLAUS". and work 365 days a Year. http://www.hangout.no/speednews/
freeflir29 0 #16 December 12, 2002 The scary thing about Ricin is the fact that you can grow the plants and refine it at home fairly easily. The Stasi (East German Intel) assasinated a defector in London with this stuff. Used an umbrella with a needle on the end of it. Just walked up to him on the street and poked him with it. Toxic stuff!!!

freeflir29 0 #18 December 12, 2002 Quotewasn't it on some Bridge? Not sure.....they didn't go into too much detail. I just read about it in a book for school. Pretty interesting book. "The New Terrorism" it covers the entire history from the assasinations of Monarchs in Europe right up to Ruby ridge/Waco.

goose491 0 #22 December 12, 2002 I remember that! Poking him in the leg, embeded a small (microscopic) metal sphere which had a hole in it filled with Ricin. The littel metal ball was sugar coated to keep it in. Once in the body, the sugar melts off and exposes the Ricin.... Scarry stuff. When investigating, they found all sorts of weapons like pistols which fired flesh-hits of the stuff. In other words, you could be riddled with it and not even know you were fired upon! Shitty! And yes, it happend in passing, upon a bridge. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
