freeflir29 0 #3 December 16, 2002 Seems like a pretty good price to me. Not that much more than a decent King Air. Not near as reliable though I'm sure.

Sonic 0 #5 December 16, 2002 I think the King Air would be a little cheaper to run as well----------------------------------- It's like something out of that twilighty show about that zone

pilotdave 0 #7 December 16, 2002 QuoteI think the King Air would be a little cheaper to run as well I think a King Air would be a LOT cheaper to run. Those warbirds usually require something like 50 maintenance man hours per flight hour. Probably not quite so much for a B-25 (as opposed to a B-17), but still. But it sure would be a cool jump plane! Dave
quatorze 1 #8 December 16, 2002 dave, we put on an airshow every November here in Columbia SC, that is strictly vintage warbirds, I was talking with the pilot of a -25 and he told me that plane costs approx $2000 an hour to run, idling on the ground. That is why when you see all these old birds, they are covered nose to tail in sponser names I'm not afriad of dying, I'm afraid of never really living- Erin Engle
