Thats BS, the majority of Military people don't have a problem with either the Anthrax OR the small pox vaccine. If you've ever been anywhere outside the US you've had more shots than most people have in their life time. kmcguffee 0 #6 December 14, 2002 Quoteit's no big deal. Exactly. I received the Anthrax vaccine in 98 when I was deployed to Saudi Arabia. Haven't died from it yet. I've already heard rumors that we're going to get the smallpox vaccine too. Somebody will start crying about that next. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." I am quiet certain that if the President said he is going to get the vaccine that is exactly what will happen.. In this case.. But you are right.. It is impossible to know. It is impossible to know when you get your flu shot at the hospital that it is actually a flew shot.. You could allways become a chemist and study every medication yourself before you take it??? Iflyme 0 #16 December 14, 2002 As there is a larger risk with the smallpox vaccination than with most other vaccinations, I just wonder if his advisors would permit your president to put himself at risk.

I will say that your pulling shit out of your collective jar head ass here. Not only that, I have a personal friend that is currently sick with what appears to be Gulf war illness and none of his or any of the other documented cases can be linked solely to the Anthrax shot alone. As far as what Cohen did, thats his option. He wasn't going into harms way, one more shot for someone who really needs it IMO. I got jungle boots with more time in than you son You have done your own research? What conclusion did you come to? The Anthrax vaccine IS dangerous. My ex-wife was a navy medic. When THEY got their briefings "which I am sure were more informative than the one you got" they were informed that the preservative in the vaccine WAS A KNOWN CANCER CAUSING SUBSTANCE.. That word got around Camp Lejeune for example and Marines were refusing to take the vaccine by the dozens. The illness briefings told you what they wanted to tell you. Again, how do you know it was the truth? You know ONE person out of thousands of servicemen that have one of the MANY illnesses. Research was done by independent groups and scientists that are a thousand times more qualified to make decisions based on their research than you are. I know more than one Marine with one of the many illnesses, that doesn't make me an expert necessarily. Jar head ass... Careful... I am MORE than capable of taking stabs myself.. Gawain 0 #22 December 14, 2002 QuoteFYI- I am active duty Air Force. I have recieved my anthrax shots too. did I want them NO. ..... THAT WAS MY POINT! I am not in the military so I don't know what those in the service experience. I do have a question though: When you enlist/sign on, aren't you volutarily waiving your Constitutional rights? Now, for the Smallpox thing, IIRC, the medical community doesn't know what affects the vaccine will have on those who already received it, but suspect that the risk is low, nor do they know how long the vaccine would last (i.e. I got mine near the time I was born in 69). I don't understand what the risks are for those who've never had the vaccine. Edit: A friend of mine an investigative journalist. He produces a weekly radio program focused on the "gay lifestyle", but before he publicly came out of the "closet" he did extensive research about the Gulf War syndrome and followed the progress of one sufferer... www.goharrison.com If you check his archives, you should be able to find plenty of information about his reports. Perhaps they will provide some insight. I don't have an educated opinion as I have no experience on this matter. His broadcasts are archived as RealMedia files. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! LouDiamond 1 #24 December 14, 2002 Quote You have done your own research? What conclusion did you come to? That the Anthrax vaccine ISN'T the cause of Gulf War Illness/ Quote The Anthrax vaccine IS dangerous. My ex-wife was a navy medic. Oh yeah, I'm sure she was really in the loop. everyone knows how much they teach the average medic...gimme a break, tell that crap to the civilians that will believe it. Quote When THEY got their briefings "which I am sure were more informative than the one you got" they were informed that the preservative in the vaccine WAS A KNOWN CANCER CAUSING SUBSTANCE.. Saccarine causes cancer and they sell it in little packages...your point is? last time I checked GWI was not a cancer. Quote That word got around Camp Lejeune for example and Marines were refusing to take the vaccine by the dozens. What can I say....thats a direct reflection of the marines for ya[reply[The illness briefings told you what they wanted to tell you. Again, how do you know it was the truth? OK, I'll say this again, slower this time, here I go...I did my own research beyond what was disclosed at the briefings. That means I was able to draw my own unbiased conclusion. Quote You know ONE person out of thousands of servicemen that have one of the MANY illnesses. actually, I know 2, 1 of them died shortly after we came back. Quote Research was done by independent groups and scientists that are a thousand times more qualified to make decisions based on their research than you are. I know more than one Marine with one of the many illnesses, that doesn't make me an expert necessarily.
