moodyskydiver 0 #1 December 16, 2002 Today. I am watching/listening to the small planes fly around the little airport thats down the road from my house...wishing I were up there too(especially since I didnt get to jump this weekend). School is out for winter break, but I'm not sure if I'm going back next semester. My knee has been throbbing all day since TX weather is in constant change. I am broke,in debt and not sure how I'm going to buy gifts for my family this year.I am single and will be spending the holidays alone this year since I cant go to Eloy. But ya know what? I'm in a damn good mood!I wish you all hugs, smiles, and happiness today. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
freeflir29 0 #2 December 16, 2002 Don't feel too bad. My canopy is still being held hostage in Deland for it's reline and some repairs..... However, my son is supposed to be here this Sunday. I'll believe it when he shows up. Hopefully, I'll get in a couple jumps on Saturday. This going 3 weeks in between jumps is getting old. My son goes home on the 4th and I have to leave town on business the 5th. It's going to be a busy start to the new year!!!
KawiZX900 0 #3 December 16, 2002 alone, broke, and student as well. i bought a computer for me, with a 100 dollar printer HP with a 99 dollar rebate, already have a 7350 so dad gets the 3350 cause his is a POS. the alone part kinda sux. go back to school. my mom works with a guy who's in his mid 30's and is only 1/2 way thru paying off his student loans, in the end it'll be worth it.. as long as you arnt' a slacker, they tend to have a time of it.... Accelerate hard to get them looking, then slam on the fronts and rollright beside the car, hanging the back wheel at eye level for a few seconds. Guaranteed reaction- Dave Sonsky

CanuckInUSA 0 #6 December 16, 2002 Trying to send good vibes to Moody. Hey I'm single too so I know where you're coming from there and I didn't get to jump this weekend thanks to a minor (non-skydiving related) injury. But you can look on the bright-side. You ordered your rig and will be able to jump it after the holidays. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
moodyskydiver 0 #7 December 16, 2002 Quote Trying to send good vibes to Moody. Thanks Canuck.I can use all the vibes I can get. Just so this wasnt misconstrued I meant this post as a "good-vibe-hope-everyone-has-a-great-day" type thing.I wasnt trying to whine.I was just amazed that, even though things arent at their best in my life,I still managed to have a smile on my face and be in a good mood.So again, hugs, smiles, and happiness to all of you. Oh yeah....ordered my new rig today! "...just an earthbound misfit, I."

lowpull 0 #11 December 17, 2002 Amber, Sometimes it is not the thing that counts, but the thought and love behind it.There have been holidays that a special friend or family member got me a card that meant more than anything else that money could have bought. As far as the alone thing, well, I know it may not mean much right now, but it is easier to be lonely than sorry. Sorry about the knee, but(like the lonely thing)at least the pain reminds us we are still alive. Keep your chin up, and like one of the first friends I had in the skydiving world told me(in a Trini accent no less)"Don't let the bastards get you down!" Hope this helps a bit,,,,,,,,,,,Ralph
IronMike 0 #12 December 17, 2002 Where in Texas? I flew in Friday night, went to a fly-inn at a private grass stip on Saturday, got to fly a Beech Staggerwing and jumped out of a Stearman. All the old fogeys think you are some kind of a Sky God if you can land within a few feet of where you said you were gonna. Then we all got drunk and drove tractors around. (one in a pond) I miss being a redneck sometimes. I flew home Sun morn. It was in Godley, about 20 miles south of Ft Worth. The weather was spectacular, unlike the friggin monsoon in Southern California right now. Mike
