We always just called it what it was (generic: soda, Coke for Coke/Pepsi, etc.), but my in-laws (from northern Mass/southern NH, US) call it "tonic". The first time I met them I thought it odd that they were drinking so much quinine water! _________________________________________________ If you hadn't read this, would it have made a sound?
