goose491 0 #26 December 17, 2002 QuoteI personally am a Big J.R.R. TOLKIEN fan the serioes of books were the Hobbit, the lord of the rings, and the the two towers. And as someone had allready mentioned these were written way before anything happened during 9/11. Yeah, and chequ out what this guy puts in the FAQ section: QuoteWe believe that Peter Jackson and New Line Cinema's actions are in fact hate speech. The movie is intentionally being named The Two Towers in order to capitalize on the tragedy of September 11. Clearly, you cannot deny the fact that this falls under hate speech. We believe that if they will not willingly change the name, the government should step in to stop the movie's production or to force a name change. The guy is obviously cluless to the fact that this movie has NOTHING to do with the attack. I can understand taking the towers out of the intro scene in Spiderman as it was supposed to come out mere days after the attack (Has anyone seen that intro? It's pretty cool!) jose 0 #29 December 18, 2002 Here is a letter I wrote them. And would someone please tell me how I can fuck with them with the information that Markharju was so kindly putting out there for all of us to see. Letter. Leaders of this "group", As a Firefighter myself, I think that I can effectively speak from personal experience on this matter as it has hit me very close to home. My sentiments are clear and simple. - Get a life and stop pestering the rest of the world with your minority thought processes. - If you want to be helpful towards the 9-11 effort, go do something positive and not contraversial. We have enough shit stirring people in this world. We dont need another lame ass group of protesters that need a cause. - As you stated in your Greviences section of your website, that this might stir up feelings from 9-11, I have a solution for you. DONT WATCH IT! I guess that all the TV shows and documentaries done on 9-11 should censored as well. Yeah, those shows dont stir up old feelings either do they. Or maybe we should ban Shindlers list, cause it makes Jews sad. Or maybe we can have Tom Hanks quartered and drawn for the movie Saving Private Ryan, I didnt see a dry eye in that theater, especially from the ones that lived in that era, or perhaps even LIVED IT! I think that you get the point. You yourself stated that the reason was to prevent stirring up old feelings, so dont even think that you can say that my examples are unfair and out of context. It amazes me that there are groups of simpletons like yourselves that think you are actually doing some good in this world. Your existence is more pathetic than your cause. Try becoming a Firefighter, Policeman, Social worker, Doctor, Nurse, Vetran or Active Military, Tandem/FJC instructor, or hundreds of other jobs or causes that BENEFIT your town, county, state, or country. If you truely think your cause is so noble, why dont you put up a list of your "members" on your web site and what occupations these people have. Perhaps their age, location, and hobbies so we can get an understanding from which you people come from. I would like to see that for myself, as I am sure others would to. Brad Harris Age: 31 Occupation: Firefighter Location: Pacific Northwest Hobbies: Skydiver, Dirtbiker Thesis: Thinks your full of shit.***
Galen 0 #30 December 18, 2002 I would like to think that that website is a joke aimed at the "oversensitive". Although, there's not enough there to make it sound sarcastic so it may just be true that these people are idiots. Respect the Dolphin
SpeedRacer 1 #31 December 18, 2002 maybe its just a troll, but if it isn't, these dickfores don't seem to realize that The Two Towers was the name of the book (which came out in the 50s or something) the movie was based on. DZBone 0 #32 December 18, 2002 It looks like people are still freaked out over 9/11. I'd file this under "misdirected anger", like Chaney/Rumsfeld going after Iraq... _________________________________________________ If you hadn't read this, would it have made a sound? Your existence is more pathetic than your cause. LMAO this cracked me up I needed a good laugh. Tell ya what when they reply to you which Im sure they will like all minorities on a mission seem to do then post it up and we can all come up with something to write to them or write ourselves in order to mess with em a bit. But its as simple as this. 1) Are they going to accomplish anything Yes and No. They have already accomplished that they are fawkin idiots and have no clue as to whats really going on, they started this facist excuse to get attention and theyll get whats coming to them. Will anything they say or do keep the movie from being played or have the title of the movie changed? No of course not. Its based on a novel written before most of them were probably born and they are just gonna have to get over it. But of course it wont stop there. They are going to try and milk everything they can out of there cause due to the disaster on 9/11. If they cant target the movie and use the people then like they said yes they will goto the govt. But what are they gonna do? jose 0 #43 December 18, 2002 Quote Well I wish we could get some of the EMTs at some of the DZs I been to to get the idea that if someones not unconcious that you dont have to cut a rig off a person Well, each situation dictates the level of spinal precautions that are taken. You have to consider what the MOI is (mechanism of injury). And in most cases, the mechanism is a human being smacking the ground with enough force to make them bounce and break femurs. The femur is the hardest bone in your body. If there is an EMT on site and witnesses an accident that results in the possibility of a spinal injury, he is not only a fool to allow the victim to remove the rig, but is breaking the law when he states that he is an EMT. He is responsible for that persons patient care from that point on until higher trained personnell arrive, or he can effectively "clear" the spine of a conscious and coherent person. Yeah, it would suck to have your rig cut off you, but it would suck much more to be a parapalegic.
