PLFXpert 0 #1 December 18, 2002 for my 8 a.m. job interview tomorrow...a friend warned me as part of the interview, they will bring me in a room w/ a phone and a worksheet. I will have 10 minutes to study the worksheet w/ facts on it about a fictional company...then the phone will ring and it will be a customer and I HAVE to get that customer in for an appointment, no matter how they try to get around it or say they'd rather have the info e-mailed.... Ha ha ha, I can see it now (in a sexy voice), "Well, sir, if you come in for an appointment, I *promise* to take any form of action necessary to make sure you are *completely satisfied* with what I have to offer you. I'm sure we'll find a *fantastic package* for you, and I guarantee I'll *work the package* myself to make sure everything *comes* out smoothy. Now, if you'll just *come* in for an appointment, I'd be happy to *assist* you," He he he....did I get the job? SWEET!Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. I was just playing on words....ha ha ha...b/c the person on the phone, turns out to be the person interviewing you...after you book the appointment, he walks in the door and begins the interview, from what my friend said...that's why I was joking about "just how I would get the job"In all seriousnes....IT'S A GREAT OFFER! skygal3 0 #8 December 18, 2002 I have fun in interviews as well, because you either have easy going people, or stuffed shirts...my last interview I had 2 stuffed shirts sitting across from me, and I am the last person in the world to be intimidated by that...so I was so cool...they called in a third...blew him away...by the time I got home they offered me the job...tee hee...my boss hates it when I confront him because he is intimidated so easily... PLFXpert 0 #11 December 18, 2002 He heh e....while I'm sure that's a respectable position...nope, won't be selling tampons...Ha ha ha....but I'll be looking forward to assisting you, Clay, if you're interested in my productsIt's really a GREAT offer and I'm lucky....but also, I haven't yet really dived into looking for a job yet, so I know what offers I've already had, via employers calling about my resume, but I still want to do a LOT more research, talking w/ potential employers, etc. to make sure I'm getting EXACTLY what I want. I don't look at it as me getting interviewed...I look at it as me interviewing employers for who can offer me the closest to what I'm looking for. And then I'll work my ass off for them in return, as I've always had good work ethic. This job comes pretty damn close though....so I'm stoked I just posted cause' I thought the phone thing was kinda funny Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. I was worried about a personality test I took a while back for a different job...I was completely honest and when it asked questions like, "If there was a company rule, that you didn't agree with, would you: A: always follow it. B: sometimes follow it C: rarely follow it. D. never follow it." I put, C: rarely follow it....the whole test I answered THAT honestly. They called me RIGHT BACK and were like, 'HALLALUYAH! I can be the easiest person to get along with, but if someone pushes me, I will push back. I am not any better than anyone else and I will admit my faults...but if they try to use my faults to their advantage I will confront them on that. Of course, that is my work attitude.
