LouDiamond 1 #1 December 17, 2002 Anybody seen this movie? I thought they would use the skydiving better but instead in true hollywood fashion they make it look ridiculous. It was interesting to see the guys had on what appears to be a cross between a camera suit and a birdman suit."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
Sonic 0 #2 December 17, 2002 Yeah, but at least they weren't averaging 4 minutes in freefall. Plus they have a guy going in. Funny to watch them tracking like f*** when they have a dragon behind them ----------------------------------- It's like something out of that twilighty show about that zone
LouDiamond 1 #3 December 17, 2002 Never could figure out why that guy rode it in, he could of at least pulled low.
FallRate 0 #4 December 18, 2002 Actually the average was a little longer than 4 minutes of freefall. Considering they got about two minutes of freefall at an exit altitude of 5,500 feet. If they had jumped from a normal altitude, I'm thinking it would have extended the length of the movie by about ten minutes. FallRate
mccordia 74 #5 December 18, 2002 At one point (if memory serves me right) the guy going in screams 'I'm at 2000 ft' and just continues to freefall for about a minute or so....he sure has to show me how to do that someday...JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? Sonic 0 #6 December 18, 2002 I said they weren't getting 4 minutes in freefall. Therefore I am correct in what I say ----------------------------------- It's like something out of that twilighty show about that zone
Antithesis 0 #7 December 18, 2002 It wouldn't have bothered me a bit to miss everything after the dragon diving scene... ohh and everything before. I thought that it was horrible! I travel the land, Work in the ocean, Play in the sky
kallend 2,108 #8 December 18, 2002 Interesting that they were wearing Z1 helmets.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.

deaffreeflyer 0 #10 December 18, 2002 This stunt was done by Meacock brothers from Sibson DZ, UK. Stuart Meacock was the cameraflyer and Alex Meacock was the tracker and other guy - I don't know his name. It was mentioned on BPA's Skydive Magazine. Sonic 0 #11 December 18, 2002 Giles Fabris was it? He's the other major freeflyer at Sibson.----------------------------------- It's like something out of that twilighty show about that zone
quatorze 1 #12 December 18, 2002 Quote REIGN OF FIRE bah, waste of time, start to finish, one of the DVD's that after watching I didn't hit the "special features" icon, something to be said in jsut wanting to be finished with a movie. Oh, and can I get a two way radio installed in my Z1 also? I'm not afriad of dying, I'm afraid of never really living- Erin Engle
deaffreeflyer 0 #13 December 18, 2002 No. The name started with Dave something I can't remember. I could be wrong. I asked Alex about it a while ago. He said this guy was a stuntman. I'll have a look in magazine and let you all know in about 9 hours! (I'm at work )
deaffreeflyer 0 #14 December 18, 2002 Not Dave - I got it wrong. Other stuntman/skydiver was Scotty Milne. Never heard of him.
KawiZX900 0 #15 December 19, 2002 perhaps hollywood is smarter than you think. what if they are extending the overall length of the frame, to impress what "hyper focus reality" looks and feels like? besides, how can you talk about reality on this one anyway, think about it , the guy was being chased by a dragon.... Accelerate hard to get them looking, then slam on the fronts and rollright beside the car, hanging the back wheel at eye level for a few seconds. Guaranteed reaction- Dave Sonsky
