Galen 0 #1 December 19, 2002 I guess my company had a much better year than last. We got our year end performance bonuses and it was much better than last year. Not as good as 2 years ago but still good - until the gov't gets it's hands on its share. Can't complain. I don't think many companies give out bonuses anymore. GrumpySmurf 0 #5 December 19, 2002 Yeah the gain sharing (based on both sales and cost downs) around here had the typical employee taking home between 1.5 and 2K as a year end bonus this year - sadly, since I've only been here 2 months - I got a pro-rated amount - though it beats my friends still in telecomm - the employed ones were getting half a day off on New Years Eve, and the unemployeed ones - well, nadda. freeflir29 0 #6 December 19, 2002 We usually get 2 bonuses per year. Well....except this year. I got one last year of about $400. Not bad I guess...They suspended all bonuses for this year though. Probably something to do with Bellsouth stock going from $52 at high in Sep 2000 to a low of around $18 something to it's current $26 and change. This economy sucks!! narcimund 0 #7 December 19, 2002 The economy seems great from my point of view. Our business is growing and we give spontaneous bonuses year round whenever they're deserved. I think our bonuses this year amounted to about 15% of payroll. We're aiming for 20% next year. First Class Citizen Twice Over

bobsled92 0 #11 December 19, 2002 That's good to hear. It makes more sense that wayMy Company is a real winner with their annual "bone"THey base it on 4th quarter earnings (lowest part of the year) and then give it to us in time for the holiday season of April Fools.(1st week of April pow!) It's good to hear that other companies have the decency to give you the Bonus for the Holidays _______________________________ If I could be a Super Hero, I chose to be: "GRANT-A-CLAUS". and work 365 days a Year. http://www.hangout.no/speednews/
Galen 0 #12 December 19, 2002 Just found out that our bonuses which were sent to us from our corporate office yesterday via FedEx P-1 has not shown up yet. The mail is usually here by 9:30am. Worse, I've got to ship stuff out priority 1 and I have no idea if they'll even show up. Respect the Dolphin

jessd 0 #14 December 20, 2002 Good for you. I got an email last Friday at work that stated there would be no year end raises for anyone in the entire company, possible no performance bonuses, and they may not be doing 15% Profit Sharing either. It sucks. I usually get a decent raise, a decent bonus, and take 1/3 of the profit sharing in cash. The profit sharing check and bonus usually equal out to be like 3-months worth of paychecks...no vacation for me next year "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."
