craichead 0 #27 December 23, 2002 Quote ...so we had to ride the porters, too. First we rode the poka-dotted one, then the green one. Oh, oh! There can't be more than one polka porter jump plane flying around the country -- that must've been Andre's porter from Chicagoland Skydiving! If any of you see Andre around, please tell him "Hi!" from Andy and Piriya (pronounced PEER-ee-yah) and that we're being "quiet" for now. I wonder how long he'll be there...? happythoughts 0 #29 December 23, 2002 :2:0 Had an excellent weekend. The Sunday sky was totally blue, no clouds anywhere. As for temperature, when I was putting my gear in the car, a guy on a motorcycle passed me in shorts and a t-shirt. Only got 2 jumps in Sunday. Did a nice 4-pt 10-way. Sunset load 28-way. Deuce 1 #30 December 23, 2002 Did a tandem video that was cooking along at 135 with the drogue out, the TM was on her back for the first couple of seconds and I was in my cannonball position until she got stable and got the drogue out. Whew! One fun FF jump with a lowtimer. My knees are still screwed up from my crash and I was having a hard time keeping my legs down in a sit, and was just a little too fast for the guy head down. Then we got winded out, one girl had to chop to keep from getting drug off the landing area. Cold too. Can't wait for Eloy!
AndyMan 7 #31 December 23, 2002 QuoteYea, we only got the Skyvan for our first jump of the morning...after that it was booked up for 3 hours so we had to ride the porters, too. First we rode the poka-dotted one, then the green one. I miss the polka porter.... _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
ladyskydiver 0 #32 December 23, 2002 0:0:0 On the upside, I made 2 batches of Malted Milk Brownies that everyone loved. And, got invited to be one of the maids of honor in one of my best friends wedding. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably.
