skybytch 273 #1 December 30, 2002 It's December 30th; nobody ever orders anything on December 30th. So when I found out that my other salesperson wouldn't be in today I wasn't too worried. Sure it's Monday and Mondays are always the busiest day of the week around here, but no one ever orders much of anything on 12/30. Really. They don't. Then I got all my email and the pile off the fax machine and all the web orders... oh yeah, then the phone started ringing. And I started wondering if I could keep up. On a day that is historically pretty slow, somehow I've managed to process orders for two containers, two custom mains, a custom reserve and a stock main. Plus finish up the remaining details on a complete rig order from last week. And processed 12 orders off our website. And the boss took a complete rig order over the phone, and I have another customer calling back to order a complete rig tomorrow. And I haven't even started on the pile in my inbox. Not to mention the inventory cards that I planned to spend at least 3 hours on today. Okay, must start on the inbox pile now... no more post whoring for me until after I get home from work... if I can ever get enough done to leave... Job security is a good thing. But days like this still blow.

dzdiva 7 #3 December 30, 2002 I'm right there with ya! I hate Mondays...I work my full time job 9-5.Unfortunately always busy...doctors office and clinic. Usually always bad on the first day of the week. Then I get to go off to my Monday Part Deux...I have a part time job from 7-11. Yee hah. Nothin' like havin' two for the price of one!! Shark 0 #6 December 30, 2002 Well, at least ya got to go to work today. I got on jump from the helo yesterday, then started to get a sore throat, probably from the effects of Saturday's Luau. Anyway, woke up today and felt shitty. Looks nice out and I want to jump. And the theraflu stuff sucks, too.
hooked 0 #7 December 30, 2002 Could all the ordering on a usually slow day have something to do with everyone wanting to take advantage of free shipping before the offer ends? moodyskydiver 0 #8 December 30, 2002 Yes today did suck.I've been sick for several days now with pnumonia and strep throat.Well, I ended up going to the ER early this morning b/c my throat had become so swollen from the infection that I was having trouble breathing.I spent several hours there being poked and prodded before the swelling went down enough to be sent home. Then a nasty storm blew in w/some 70+ mph winds, hail and rain...not to mention possible tornados. So I definately agree that today sucked. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
jessd 0 #9 December 30, 2002 I woke up this morning and felt sick. I think it may be the flu. I had the flu last year for New Years too - hopfully I feel better tomorrow.
