BPO 0 #1 December 31, 2002 GO JUMP! grin... 31st december and I'm the only one at work here.. the DZ is only 5 mins away and the weather is getting jumpable.. My own rig is being repacked at the moment, so I borrowed a friend's Stiletto. I usually jump a Sabre (same size).. anyone can offer me a few words of advice (what to do and don't do other than don't do anything stoopid below 2000 ft)? Thanks! hookitt 1 #3 December 31, 2002 Pull high, fly it around and get used to it. It turns much quicker. It's a parachute and you know how to fly one already, so just be smooth. Emphasis on pull high, fly it around and get used to it. Be cautious but not afraid that's about it. You'll be fine.My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... BPO 0 #4 December 31, 2002 Thanks.. I did fine! only got to go to 5000ft, so I did a 5 second delay. the Stiletto opened like a dream (on-heading and sssssssmoooth!).. Exactly the what you said: handle with care.. Turns are much quicker. Only thing I didn't like is that I didn't feel any pressure on the steeringlines while making a turn.. That's probably just a thing to get used to though.. Next saturday I hope to make a high c&p and just play around for a few minutes.. Skydiving beats working any time!
