But, I also know that in another year or so, I'll be able to look back on this time and all that I've gone through and wonder how I ever lived through it and actually found ways to stay sane and happy through all the heartache. happythoughts 0 #11 December 31, 2002 I with ya Andrea. Most people wish away their lives... "It's still TUESDAY... I wish it was Friday... " But they don't have any real plans for Friday. Toesday is going ok really. If people realized what they did during the week and appreciated those things, they would understand that things are pretty good. Did you talk to a buddy while at work? Did you hear a good joke and laugh? Did you eat your fav food? Are you reading a good book? Did you play a sport or a game of pool or a video game that was fun? Last year, a 70yo friend hammered in on a landing and broke lots of stuff. Saw him this weekend, walking, smiling. Can't jump for another 3 months, but he was enjoying his health. Another 40yo friend didn't flare. Femur and pelvis. Repeat surgeries. Still comes to the dz and hangs with friends. Me? Great health, so I'm happy. Sorry to break up the pity party, but until something bad happens, I'm going to enjoy my life, health, friends, jump buddies, running, and goofing off. My life is not perfect, but it is excellent.
