jtval 0 #1 January 1, 2003 I just started writing the other day and this is what came out. I was kinda of inspired I hope some of you "GET" this story. There are times in our lives when we take a moment to reflect upon things we have done. To many, New Years seems to be that time. To me, I constantly move forward but reflect often; it allows me to take an inventory of my life and plan my future. It seems every time I travel or move to a new place I have a “season of reflection.” This season is in full bloom. During this time of reflection it would seem that one would write a diary or a journal. In a round about way I do, but I do it with a series of lyrics. (You can call them poems if you like.) What seems to many as a 3 to 5 minute song, is actually YEARS of my life experienced squeezed into a short form or entertainment. I cherish this moments! I recently had the opportunity to play some of my life’s songs at Eloy with a group of new found friends. Most of them didn’t even hear the meaning which does not bother or hurt me at all, after all the never heard the songs so they wouldn’t be drawn to listen; especially in a party atmosphere. I did however give me a chance to reflect again It seems the all of our lives are just blank pages waiting to be filled in with your life stories. Be it happy, sad, enlightened, mad restless or content, it IS your story, you have the opportunity to write it as you see fit. You can give what you want to who you want. What I mean by that is…every story has a lead character, supporting characters and extras. It is up to you to cast the rolls that will fulfill your life. To fill up the paragraphs, pages and chapters with those who enlighten you. It has taken a very long time for me to find a “co-star” for my book, but I will gladly hand her the pen and the paper to write herself into my story for as long as she sees fit. See, in this time of reflection I didn’t just see myself. I saw her. I saw her and I writing a collection of stories… together. Some were filled with drama, some with comedy, some were erotic, some were sad. The important thing was that they were all going to be written with her in it. It’s been noted that when an author writes a book that author isn’t sure how it will end until it is written. I feel the same way but I am sure going to enjoy writing the story, and when I am gone and the story is written I wish it could be shared with the world so they can understand just how special a life can be. Lay it on me, wadda ya think? My photos My Videos
