They're a bit obscure these days, but I suppose they always were...hmm. (I'm going to draw attention away from the love-fest between me and AndyMan for just a moment... ) I used to be a complete freak about XTC (posting on the digest, buying all the albums, collector's editions, box sets, etc.), but I've toned it down quite a bit since the time I actually met Andy Partridge. He's a bit of an egomaniac, which disappointed me, but I guess that shouldn't have been a surprise after reading the biographies about the band. Also, they've started merchandising the collectibles in a big way, which is so un-XTC. Half of the fun was doing tape trades and such. Still love the songs and especially love Andy's lyrics -- he's quite the wordsmith, with or without music. And I still pick up the odd collector's item or two, but I'd rather save the money for jumps! And now back to the love-fest between me and AndyMan...
