AggieDave 6 #1 January 2, 2003 Well, about 40 minutes ago I pulled into my driveway in College Station, Texas after a 17hr drive back to my home country, from Eloy. What a week it had been! We had a pool party, tossed back lots of Shiner Bock beer, got drunk, got sick, got drunk again, jumped our asses off, swooped the shit outta the landing area, did all sorts of '00' jumps, freeflew, belly-flew, DC-3 jumped, collegate competed, froze asses off, played music, walked through some fire, got drunk, met a crap-load of really freak'n cool DZ.commers, got drunk with said group of DZ.commers, met more DZ.commers and had to get drunk again. All in all, I'm freak'n exhausted, but it was definately a trip to remember. Here's the dealio with my competition in collegates. I couldn't find another FFer to compete with so I only did Sport Accuracy (and fun jumped my ass off). Well, I blew that up in the first round due to some confusion on my part on how the rules were inforced (even though I smacked a dead zero and stood it up). So I decided to have lots of fun for the rest of the 3 rounds, since I knew I wouldn't place. The defining moment is when I was coming around the corner of a hard 180 front riser hook, to see the judges scatter VERY quickly as I came screaming in. I only missed a center hit once (well, I missed the entire damn circle on that one, but hey, its all good), and I got a couple really good swoops out of it, so I was happy. Once I get my film developed, I'll post some pics, although I only took like 30 pictures (I know, shame on me, shaaaame on me). Oh, I did something like 25 jumps (I have to check my log book to make sure), did my 300th, which was supposed to be a wicked hybrid that turned into a couple wicked funnels, in which I had to sit above the funneled ball of shit laughing my ass off. It was all good.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
