wingnut 0 #1 January 4, 2003 well i got home to my new place in utah a few hours ago and have to say the drive was just great. a little over 700 miles from eloy and 10 hours drive and it was great... i'm not much for the west, i like it green and treey, but the drive from az through nv to ut was awsme! saw a great sunset getting close to hover dam and also when i got twords salt lake city, the west actually can be quit beautiful if ya look at it as a whole and not as just some dirt and rocks. i can't wait until i get a motorcycle again in the spring to take some tice rids through the mountains..... if ya never have done it i srongly sugest a road trip through the country... i've driven at difrent times from new jersey all the way over to utah and down south from utah to eloy and peris and from florida acros the gulf to texas and up...... so much difrence in the country... go see it....take your rig and make some jumps along the way....... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version"

phatcat 0 #3 January 4, 2003 Quote if ya never have done it i srongly sugest a road trip through the country. Just make sure it isn't from the Twin Cities to Oklahoma. BOOORRIINNG!!!. As long as you don't drive that route, cross country trips usually kick ass.
hooked 0 #4 January 4, 2003 A trip through Eastern Montana and North Dakota are the worst! Especially North Dakota....flat, straight, and nothing there! I also hated the ride from Vegas to Reno....again nothing there(edited for Vegas to Reno) J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings. wingnut 0 #9 January 4, 2003 for you sunshine i'd do almost anything....which has been proven (with alot of help from viking) the drive from eloy to phx isn't anything special but once ya get past phx on 93 north it just turns into a great drive, the joshua trees, canyons, and a 2 lane road... from vegas up i-15 is nice to lots of mountains and coming twoards salt lake city the snow on the mountains was great......... now when i traveled i-70 from colorado springs to ohio all i have to say is there is not a damn thing in kansas besides the worlds bigest prarie dog at over 2000 pounds, unfortunatly i didn't get to stop and see it.... wyoming is pretty boring too but had some great sunsets.... ilinois, flat, cornfields, ohio, nice rolling hills, penn, green trees and small mountains..nj, a rip off for gas and lots of trafic, misouri, they got the arch, it's cool to pass on the freeway, cali, well, lots of kellogs there (fruits, flakes and nuts), florida, there are rednecks there just on the north western part, alabama, lots of swamp, louisiana, longest bdge i've ever been on, texas, nicest drivers and some nice country between san antonio and del rio, up twards dallas and amirillo nothing special, new mexico, they have a volcano....... and that's about it..... i know i left off a few states i have driven but it's late, cut me some slack.... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version"
