FreeFlyHol 0 #1 January 7, 2003 Today at work I realized the one thing that my new job lacks...a feeling of connection with my clients. Unlike all of the other places that I've done bodywork, this is the first place where it isn't accepted to hug my clients after a therapy. (I work at a very upscale spa in Phoenix.) This may not sound like a big deal to you...I'm sure that most of your contact is no more than a handshake, at most, in the office. My profession is very different. I make my way through life focusing my energy and intention on the highest and best for each person I touch. I spend a full hour with these people in a fairly vulnerable, intimate setting. It's difficult not to form some sort of special bond with them. Those of you who know me, will probably vouch for the fact that I'm a pretty affectionate person. I love my friends. I love my clients. It looks like this job is going to be very challenging for me. Today I had to sneak a hug in, but found myself checking my back right after. I think you guys are going to have to bombard me for a while...I don't think that I'm current on hugs. 4 hugs for survival 8 hugs for maintenance 12 hugs for growth x's and o's, Hol :)When cheese gets its picture taken, what does it say?
