FreeFlyHol 0 #1 January 9, 2003 By: David Sedaris Has anyone checked this book out yet? I've read "Naked" and "Holidays On Ice", both of which are hysterical, but just picked this one up tonight. If you haven't read any of his work, I highly recommend it. His sarcastically twisted sense of humor has donned him the rank of my current favorite fictional author. Wooo hoooo! Reading his books is comparable to a drunken night at the dz. Just flipping through the contents page I see such chapters as..."I'll eat what he's wearing", "Jesus shaves" and "The tapeworm is in". Looks like another winner. x's and o's, Hol :)When cheese gets its picture taken, what does it say?
skygal3 0 #2 January 9, 2003 This is such a funny book! I highly recommend it (even though I have yet to finish it--4 months later) But if you like Dave Sedaris, try A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius" by Dave Eggars...you will laugh so hard!!! It is such a good book!

Jumpervint 0 #4 January 9, 2003 I too love the sandwich. Vint. . . . . "Make it hard again." Doc Ed “A person needs a little madness, or else they never dare cut the rope and be free” Nikos Kazantzakis
narcimund 0 #5 January 9, 2003 One of many books on my shelf. Unfortunately, I think much of the magic is lost when he isn't reading it. Hearing him read his own works is oddly MANY times more amusing than reading it yourself. Generally I think exactly the opposite but his voice and interpretation is brilliantly well suited for it.
