My kid's b-day is ON Xmas and he scores every year; we do Xmas either the night before or that morning, then we do his birthday after Xmas dinner. When he was younger he also got stuff in June for a "half birthday." It's kind of a pain to have to buy two sets of presents for opening on the same day, but I'd feel like I was ripping him off if I only gave him one present for both Xmas and his birthday.
