Rdutch 0 #1 January 9, 2003 One more day and Im on Vacation. Well my life is a vacation but its a vacation from a vacation. Im going to Gatlinburg Tenn. for the weekend. I used to live in Pigeon Forge a long time ago, and havent been since. Anyone know what the must do's are? Im going to go snowboarding at oberGatlinburg, but is there any other things to do there? Im sure Im not jumping in Tennessee (I promised), and it will be too cold. Any idea's on what the best thing's to do in Gatlinburg? Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of! lewmonst 0 #4 January 10, 2003 there's a lot to do there for whuffo's who like dolly parton and stuff like that. the windtunnel is on the strip in pigeon forge, called flyaway. if you are a skydiver, don't waste your time. it's blown from below, so the column of air is cone shaped, hard to stay on top of... and they won't turn the air up past like 70mph, except for the show-off 15 yr olds who run the controls for eachother and take up half of your 3 minutes to "show you how to fly" or just show off while the controller cranks it up to 120, the kid sit flies and flips and goes high and low... then when he steps off for you last 15 seconds of time, they turn the prop down and you can barely get 2 feet above the net, you know, that and the kids won't let go of you. oh yeah, and the suits you have to wear are big baggie and nasty. i'm not bitter, i just want my $24.95 backok, back to gatlinburg... i'm sure if you searched on the web you'll find what's there, i know there's a lot of cabins in the woods for rent and stuff like that, then in the town is little shops and junk like that.
