PhreeZone 20 #2 January 11, 2003 My old TM had Patrick D take his wfie on her first tandem, they left in a sit fly, flipped HD, the orbited with the videographer for a bit and tossed the drouge at about 7k.... WAY cool video.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
peckerhead 0 #3 January 11, 2003 I meant with the drouge OUT.... Even without the drouge I would think the passenger would have to "ahem" cooperate....It is hard enough just to get them to arch!
Zenister 0 #4 January 11, 2003 and completely against the BSRs, but a great ride if the TM knows the passenger wont freak a flail.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
RevJim 0 #5 January 11, 2003 Is it in the BSRs? Probably is, but I may have missed it. As far as I know, I don't know of an Tandem manuf. that "allow" FFing in their systems. They were not designed to handle the speed. What happens to the passenger if they get a premature deployment HD at 200 mph? I don't know, but I do know I wouldn't want to be the one hanging in the front....It's your life, live it! kevin922 0 #6 January 11, 2003 I may be dreaming, but i swear someone told me about a TM who did a birdman with a tandem. Anyone know about this? Pics?
peckerhead 0 #7 January 11, 2003 I took the shot flying belly to earth, yeah it was fast but no way were they going 200. It was totally unintentional. They left and just went head down, after the TM pitched the drouge they seemed to go even more head down and stayed that way for along time. Eventually they flatened out and slowed down considerably. I am sure booth does not approve of intentional freeflying with his rigs.

Holland, a year or two ago, could've been in Texel(?). A friend of mine who's been working as a TM there told me about it. As I recall, the passenger was a first time jumper. On the first jump, only the TM wore a wingsuit, on the second one both the TM and passenger had wingsuits on. It was a stunt for a TV-show I think.
