Casch 0 #1 January 13, 2003 Can anyone here tell if a TV is on, even when the volume is all the way down and your on the other side of the house? I have always been able to tell when the TV is on cause I can hear this really quiet high pitched ringing. I get weird looks sometimes when I notice this... indyz 1 #7 January 13, 2003 QuoteI have always been able to tell when the TV is on cause I can hear this really quiet high pitched ringing. I get weird looks sometimes when I notice this... Yep. I think a relay or something in our TV is shot, because now I hear it all of the time unless I unplug the thing. I can also hear the ultrasonics in cheap security systems. I can't even go into a certain area of the Milwaukee Art Museum because it is so bad.

Zenister 0 #9 January 13, 2003 more than just that..sometimes i think i can hear the power running thru the house...all the ambient noise created by everything electric..sometimes i wonder exactly how much crap is casued by all the RF floating around us everyday..TV,Radio, microwave etc...i really noticed it when i spent 2 months wandering the blue ridge park way..coming back to civilization was way to 'loud' for a while..even in a quiet room. oopss gotta go the guys in the nice white coats with the net are at the door.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. AggieDave 6 #10 January 13, 2003 I get that a lot, sort of like Indyz, I can hear those cheap damn alarm systems and a lot of the lower end electronics. Basically it damn near hurts for me to go into Rat Shack, I mean, Radio Shack...--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
