quade 4 #3 January 10, 2003 Wait a minute -- hold on there sonny! I didn't hear anything about anyone trying to make a record. Don't ya have to declare it first, have it build as planned and hold it for at least 3 seconds? Or is we'all playin' Texas rules agin? quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
Sebazz1 2 #4 January 10, 2003 Blasphemy!! Yeah and what Lummy said. Which rules? It may not be legitimate... And I thought you could be trusted to keep the record in Cali Duece... Sebazz shaking head at Duece...

Then the Perris record of 13 would stand under "Tex-ass" rules. As it is: 10 out the door, 10 in the formation.
Deuce 1 #10 January 10, 2003 Bite me. All of you!Upon further review it's 12. Built as planned, and HH sets the rules, Craig Gerard can kick your butts, and the Skymonkey will be set loose upon you like a plague. Hah. Lawyer your way out of it if you can, but I was there, and that's the record!
wmw999 2,583 #11 January 10, 2003 QuoteBite me. Mmmmmmmmmm... Absolutely! Actually, if there were a serious attempt to do a dz.com record, Eloy would have been the place. Plenty of talent, some of it got off the formation loads after it began to look like they weren't going to be hot enough. Well, y'know, it's about fun. You really want a dz.com record, you invite the people you think are worthy on it, and exclude the ones who might not be up to snuff. I'm sure something like that could be done. But is it really that important? I had a great time on those jumps. And I didn't take it out, and I docked. Got to dive, got fallen on, had someone fly under me. But, again, it takes the record for the largest number of consistent mistake-driven funnels without people getting pissed off, and without low pulls, and having fun. Not everyone was in (including me), but those that were in beat the old record. The Record was set in Cali, and Cali sets the rules to beat it. Pre-declared, slot perfect. I'm also basing my interpretation of the rules from recollection California Rules= Slot perfect, plan the skydive, skydive the plan. If there's one out, it's not a record. Texas Rules = however many get in the formation is the record. PhreeZone 20 #19 January 11, 2003 WFFC attempt 1 had 11 in via Texas rules and they were slot perfect. Stragglers could'nt get down to the formation after the second funnel. WFFC attempt 2 had 9 built and more on the way will someone in a white jumpsuit with Red arms went under it... And unlike at other places... no one was cut (I should have been first cut), you showed up... you were in the dive. We had people from Rev Jim that needed people poulling him down to the formation to BillVon.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

I was most assuredly not ready for those. I no longer wear lead, and quite able to fall fast. Damn it though, that also means I have aquired the ability to go low...
