sweeney 0 #1 January 13, 2003 I think the Raiders beat the Titans 24-17 and Philly beats Tampa 22-17 and then Oakland beats Philly in the Super Bowl 28-10.

PhillyKev 0 #11 January 13, 2003 Granted, the Birds may have some trouble with the Raiders in the big game, but no way is Tampa winning next week. Game is in Philly: - Cold weather, the Bucs SUCK in cold weather. - Eagles are favored by 3.5 - Buc's are 1-4 against the spread in their last five road games. - PHI is 7-1 ATS in their last eight games overall. - Eagles are 7-2 ATS at Veterans Stadium this season. - Eagles are 4-0 over the Bucs last 3 seasons - Crazy ass fans at the last game ever to be played in the Vet. (they'd better have twice as many cops on the field for this game...I thought about rushing the field even with them all lined up like that)

rgoper 0 #13 January 13, 2003 the philly qb is no brad johnson, this is the difference in that game. brad comes from cold weather environment, weather is not a factor here as we witnessed when the falcons won their game. of course, stats are stats, but talent is talent, physcological edge: philly, talent edge: bucs, too may weapons, plus a superior coaching staff. of course this thread could be beat to death because everybody has their "team" i don't look at logistics, or weather instead i tend to look at strengths and weaknesses. Tampa wins this one big, then they take it from al davis and his bunch in the bowl. it's "Chuckie's year!"--Richard-- "We Will Not Be Shaken By Thugs, And Terroist"

FallinWoman 1 #15 January 13, 2003 QuoteCold weather, the Bucs SUCK in cold weather Funny...the Bucs won their last game of the season...played in cold weather.... I hate stats like that.....how about the one that going into last weekend, Green Bay was undefeated in the playoffs when playing at home? (yeah....they LOST!!!!) Stats like that are essentially meaningless. I vote for Tampa....GREAT defense....Brad Johnson back...Tampa over the Raiders in the Superbowl. ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!! PhillyKev 0 #19 January 13, 2003 Ok, strengths and weaknesses: Quoteplus a superior coaching staff Huh? Considering both head coaches came from the same place with a lot of the same background, I don't know how much superior it is. Add to that the fact that Philly got where they are with their 2nd and 3rd string QB's for the second half of the season. You have to credit the coaching staff for a lot of that. Reid was named coach of the year in 2000, and there's a lot of talk of him getting it again this year. Quote don't look at logistics, or weather instead i tend to look at strengths and weaknesses Ok...offense.....for the regular season Philly beats TB in yards per game, yards per play, 1st downs per game, 3rd down conversions. Defense, they pretty much split the stats. Brad Johnson's stats are slightly better than McNabb's, except for interceptions. Johnson is more likely to be picked off. And besides, the Eagles will probably use the strategy that allowed them to beat them soundly earlier this year. That's running the ball down their throats. And what team has the most players in the nfl going to the pro-bowl this year? Philadelphia. And the fact the Bucs won in GB is nothing to look at either. The Bucs didn't win that game. GB lost it! And I wouldn't completely discount where they are playing and the 12th man advantage. Atlanta had to call a TO first quarter because the players couldn't hear the audible on third down. And it was much easier on them the rest of the downs either.

rgoper 0 #21 January 13, 2003 Quote Defense, they pretty much split the stats. Donavan McNabb will have a "new suit" draped all over him in this game at the Vet, it's often referred to as the "Sapp Suit" cause Warren will be draped all over Donavan like a cheap suit! this game will be the most interesting game that will be played this year. my hat will be off to which ever team wins, because in the end nothing else matters but "execution" whoever can execute and come up with the "big plays" will win this game, if Tampa can come out big, look for that 12th man to be insugnifficant. Cheers! Sports, ya gotta love it!--Richard-- "We Will Not Be Shaken By Thugs, And Terroist"
